Megan Evans

Megan has been dancing at Sorensen School of Dance (SSOD) since the age of 3. She has trained extensively in Cecchetti Ballet, earning her Ballet Associate with the Cecchetti Society of Canda in December 2011 and her Associate Diploma in May 2015. In addition to her Ballet training, Megan has completed the Advanced 2 in Modern with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and most recently was awarded her Modern Associate in May 2016.
 
Megan travelled to Chichester, England, in August 2012 to attend the ISTD’s Teacher Summer School where she spent a week studying the Modern syllabus. Megan has studied dance abroad previously in 2005 when she won the DTAN Scholarship and travelled to the Sussex Summer School in England. Most recently, Megan attended the New Advanced 1 Modern course held in St. John's at SSOD in December 2015 and travelled to Vancouver, B.C in August 2015 to attend the New Advanced 1 ISTD Modern course.
 
Megan is also a graduate of Memorial University and holds a Bachelor of Education in Primary/Elementary. She has also completed her degree in Special Education.
 
The fusion of Megan's Academic and Dance Education is a winning combination. It's a pleasure having Megan on the SSOD team.
